With the implementation of the social distancing and work from home rules. I have started my very first sourdough starter “Fred”. Fred bubbles by himself in the pantry after a good meal everyday.

Fred has been crucial in the making of many new products in our house. Today we successfully made sourdough crackers, sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls. Fred was not part of the monkey muffins that were part of a kindergarten lesson.
Yummy muffins and flapjacks have also been made with the help of our active sourdough starter. There were times when he exploded out of the jar and others where he barely got any height but Fred is successfully keeping our family of 6 in carbs. Now hoping we don’t run out of flour…
Keeping the kids in snacks has become my new mission as I throw another apple at them and hope they will last for at least another hour.
I have been wanting to give sourdough starter a try, it just seems so intimidating! But those cinnamon rolls look delicious…so I may have to try it after all!
