Spring BREAK

Spring BREAK

Today starts day one of Spring Break as the teachers have a PD day today. We started off the morning with some cartoons and playing on the deck… and then the fog rolled in and the day is gloomy instead of bright and sunny. So, breaking out of the fog we made some play dough. We scented the play dough with eucalyptus and Peppermint and pulled out all the play dough toys. YAY for entertainment.

And then the fun began, J’s nose has been running but I didn’t think much of it, and the whinning started. We have Fever’s in the house time to search Pintrest for all remedies to colds for toddlers and apply. Hopefully we can get through this without the whole whose succumbing to the evil that is sickness. I see a horde of steam mopping and cleaning in my future. Maybe I can convince K and D that it is a fun activity and get them to do some of it.

I am hoping to done a bunch of food prep this week, as the kids will be going to daycare for three days and as there is no school I will not be subbing. I have a list… Maybe I can get half of it done.

My Food Prep List

  • Marinades (going to use these ones Marinades)
  • Cookies (Giant Breakfast)
  • Muffins
  • Waffles/Pancakes
  • Granola
  • Paleo Cereal
  • Smoothies/Smoothie Packs
  • Loafs
  • Chia Seeds
  • Oatmeal Cups
  • Cold Coffee/Coffee Cubes
  • Bread/Buns
  • Tortillas
  • Granola Bars
  • Fat bombs
  • Pretzel Bites
  • Lunch Items (who knows what these are)

I bought yumbox’s for all of our lunches and am looking for nut free ideas of things to put in the kids lunches. I have been using a lot of nut butters and nut flours when making things, and now have to find other things to include in the kids lunches.

Time to drink the coffee and get to work. (Smoothies for the kids).img_0388.jpg
